Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us, so you'll be pleased to hear that The Jokar does not collect or store any user identification information.
Images:
The Jokar allows you to create AR objects such as Picture Frames and Greeting Cards which incorporate your own images. If you choose to share these objects with your friends and family by sending them in an AR text message, small copies of your images are temporarily stored in a secure cloud storage service. This service is provided by Firebase, a file storage platform operated by Google. These small images are uploaded using anonymous authentication and with all identifying metadata removed, meaning they are not linked to your personal identity. After uploading, the images can be seen within an AR view initiated from an AR text message which you can share with friends and family. The images will be automatically deleted after 30 days, after which time the AR text message will show its AR object with a default image.
• Purpose: We store small copies of your images to enable you to share them with others through the app.
• Retention: Images are stored temporarily and are automatically deleted after 30 days.
• Access: The URLs generated for AR text messages which incorporate your images may be accessed by anyone with the link. Please be cautious when sharing these URLs if they contain sensitive content.
• Security: We use Firebase’s security measures to protect your images during storage and transmission, ensuring only authorized uploads are permitted. Before uploading, all user identification and image location metadata is removed from these images.
We do not use your images for any purpose other than providing the app’s sharing functionality, and we do not share them with third parties except as described (i.e. via the public AR text message URLs you choose to share). For more information about Firebase’s data practices, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.
